The Students’ Association of Red Deer College operates a Student Food Bank on campus, which provides support to students experiencing food insecurity. Students access the Food Bank through the Student Connect Centre, where staff can also support housing and other needs. With generous donations from community members and local businesses, the Student Food Bank provides students in need with a combination of hampers and food vouchers. The Food Bank provides assistance to an average 260 students per year, and has seen a surge in requests due to COVID-19 related financial challenges. Your donation toward the Student Food Bank will directly support the immediate and urgent needs of students facing food insecurity.

Please note that gifts to the Student Food Bank are not eligible for a charitable tax receipt. If tax exemption is a key concern, you can support the urgent financial needs of students through the Student Emergency Bursary.
